1545: Takeda Harunobu Captures Takatō Castle as the Siege of Kawagoe Begins

Takeda Harunobu captured Takatō Castle from Takatō Yoritsugu and advanced into Ina District. In the Kantō, Ōgigayatsu Uesugi Tomosada allied with the Yamanouchi Uesugi and Koga Ashikaga to besiege Kawagoe Castle, defended by Hōjō Tsunashige.

Conquest of Takato Castle and defeat of Takatō Yoritsugu

Takeda Harunobu advanced into Ina District by crossing Tsuetutsuki Pass and defeated Takatō Yoritsugu of the Suwa clan cadet branches. This victory accelerated Harunobu's invasion of Shinano Province and expanded his control over Ina District.

Month 6

Siege of Fukuyoshi Castle and surrender of Fujisawa Yorichika

Following the conquest of Takato Castle, the Takeda forces attacked Fujisawa Yorichika at Fukuyoshi Castle. Yorichika held out with approximately 1,500 troops and requested reinforcements but was unsuccessful; in June, he surrendered the castle by offering his brother Gonjirou as a hostage. The following day, the Takeda forces set the castle ablaze.

Second Kawachi Incident — Recovery of Kawachi

Imagawa Yoshimoto allied with Takeda Harunobu and invaded the Kawachi region controlled by Hōjō Ujiyasu. After capturing Yoshiwara and establishing positions at Senbon-matsu and Okamiya, Kawachi came under Imagawa control.
