A site said to be where Akechi Mitsuhide's head was buried. According to Kyoto city records, the head was initially buried near Awataguchi and a mound was built over it; a five-tiered stone pagoda constructed on top was later moved to its current location. The current stone marker was erected by Ichikawa Danjūrō in 1903.
Kyoto city records themselves include multiple accounts with reservations ('is said' and 'also said'), and the location where Mitsuhide's remains were actually buried is not confirmed.
